Foot pain should not be part of your daily life. There is a way of managing chronic foot pain without resorting to drastic measures such as surgery.
You can have foot pain from growths such as plantar warts, corns or calluses. Your foot pain can also result from wearing ill-fitting shoes or stand on your feet all day. Fortunately, relief of foot pain can be done at home.
Buy shoes that fit. Always try on shoes before buying them. If the shoe is too tight in the toe area, it will be very uncomfortable to wear and foot pain will be worse. Poorly fitting shoes also cause blisters or corns. You may want to get your feet measured every time you try on shoes, as some brands fit differently than others. Choose shoes based on activity. If you go for a run, wear sneakers designed for racing, does not work. You use your feet differently depending on what type of exercise you perform. The shoes you wear must be designed for this activity.

Prop your feet up. Rest your feet after a long day. Sit down and elevate your feet at a 45 degree angle. Elevating your feet help the blood flow away from them and to reduce swelling and tenderness.
